Welcome to the Blue Bottle Brewing website, that I’ve created to record my experiences of brewing beer at home. In the website I’ve recorded what I’ve learnt about the brewing process, what I’ve learnt about designing a beer, details of the equipment I’ve used, descriptions of the beers I’ve brewed, and a brief history of my experiences over the years.

When designing your own beer, there are several calculations that are essential. I’ve incorporated them all into a design form, which may be used to produce your own recipe. Home brewing can be a rewarding hobby, but there is a learning curve to acquiring the techniques and skills required to make consistently good beers, as I’ve found – so I’ve recorded some of the lessons I’ve learnt along the way. If you like beer, as I do, and the many different styles and tastes available, and would like to produce your own at home, then hopefully you will find these pages useful and interesting!
